2002 President's MessageMy Friends: It has been a tumultuous year to say the least. The tectonic shifts of the economic landscape coupled with the world’s fight against terrorism have left most us reeling with an uneasy feeling. Uncertainty seems to have frozen us in place, like a December wind blowing in from Lake Michigan. In spite of what may seem to most to be a time spent keeping one’s powder dry and playing it safe, we have chosen to step out and form a firm dedicated to serving the human capital needs of business. There is an old adage that goes something like this: there are more opportunities in an unstable environment than in a stable one. To most of us, growth and change will always be simultaneous periods of excitement and fright. Know that these are critical times, but the world has dealt with cataclysmic events before. Realize that we live and work in an ever-accelerating world; change takes place at lightning swift speed. If we choose to embrace it we will continue to grow, ignore it and we will succumb. All studies point to the fact that there will be a severe shortage of qualified people in the workplace going forward. Those companies wishing to grow will be ever monitoring their human capital needs and act accordingly.
